Natasha draws from a diverse background to suit the diversity of her students’ needs. Her training includes Transformative Yoga, Hot Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Trauma-sensitive yoga, Yin yoga and Vinyasa Krama, a therapeutic traditional yoga methodology that varies the practice to suit the individual. Natasha has studied Vinyasa Krama, the Yoga Sutras and Samkhya Karika with Ramaswami Srivatsa, a former pupil of Sri TK Krishnamacharya, and she loves to bring ancient teachings into modern perspective to make the message and practice accessible to everyone. She is currently on a professional Yoga therapy program with medical professionals with Svastha Yoga, learning how to combine the most effective aspects of traditional yoga and Ayurveda with modern medicine to give her more tools to help herself and others improve overall well-being. Continuing her investigation of Self, Natasha is currently following a year of weekly reflections – two hours every weekend, with Raghu Anathanarayanan of Ritambhara Ashram and other teachers who formerly studied with T. K. V. Desikachar (author of The Heart of Yoga – a central course book of our teacher training), the son of Sri Krishnamacharya.
Natasha’s background includes a degree in Psychology, creative writing and online journalism and editing and motivational coaching. Natasha’s greatest challenge has been motherhood.
